UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS SEMESTER I ACADEMIC SESSION 2026/2027

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The general academic requirements for admission into the undergraduate degree programme of UTHM are:

• At least three (3) principal passes in the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’ (GCE), ‘A’ Level Examination (UK Education System) obtained in one sitting; OR
• International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of six (6) subjects obtained in one sitting; OR
• A Diploma or any other Equivalent Qualification recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the Senate of the University; OR
• Any other qualifications that are recognized by the Senate of the University as equivalent to the above. AND
• English Language Requirements:

Applicants must complete 12 years of Primary and High School Education and obtained
High School Certificate (eg. A‐Level, HSC, SMU, & Matayom Suksa 6 (Thailand), International Baccalaureate etc.) or Diploma in related fields

1. Obtained High School Certificate level or its equivalent with minimum entry
qualification of CGPA 2.50, AND
2. A minimum grade C in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biology. OR
Diploma in related field
1. Obtained Diploma in Civil or related field with minimum CGPA of 2.50

A Level
1. A minimum grade C in Mathematics AND
2. A minimum grade C in any two (2) of the following subjects:

Applicants must complete 12 years of Primary and High School Education and obtained High School Certificate (eg. A‐Level, HSC, SMU & Matayom Suksa 6 (Thailand), International Baccalaureate etc.) or Diploma in related fields.

2. A minimum pass in English Language subject; AND
3. Candidates must attend an interview session with the faculty. Faculty reserves the right to decide based on suitability during the session.

2. A minimum pass in English Language subject; AND
3. Candidates must attend an interview session with the faculty. Faculty reserves the right to decide based on suitability during the session.
